Gracelyn & her wonderful parents joined us for a dual photoshoot In January, with a lovely First Birthday Theme!! This shoot was an absolute honour. Not only did I get to photograph a beautiful and happy little girls first birthday, but I also got to document for the very first time a gender reveal for a very glowing family!
First birthday themes are difficult to think of, however it was easy for this gorgeous little angel in her adorable pink dress, and soft but girly backdrop! We wanted to focus on her having a great time, so no big props and out there themes were necessary. I have never seen such a happy little angel…
until…
Mum & Dad wanted to know if Gracelyn was having a little brother or sister- and I was soooo excited for them! And this couple are fantastic, and watching and documented Gracelyn grow has been an absolute pleasure! It fills me with an immense amount of warmth being able to photograph and witness these precious moments. Gracelyn absolutely adored her time to shine in her cute dress, and throwing her balloons in the air, but she wasn’t so happy when she found out that she was having a little brother! Startled by the canons firing, Gracelyn became a little overwhelmed – but mum and dad just found it hilarious!
We are more than sure that Gracelyn is going to be the best big sister! And I honestly couldn’t be more elated for this family. I was so grateful to be able to capture such a unrepeatable ‘in the moment’ photograph when the balloon was popped – what a gorgeous happy moment! I know that Gracelyn had the most magical first birthday and will await the arrival of her little brother with much excitement, as do I! And I cannot wait to see this little boy enter the word!
Immensely happy for them all, and I couldn’t have been more grateful that they came to the studio for such a life milestone!
