‘Miracles can Happen’ Joey the beautiful Rainbow Baby

A few weeks ago, I had the immense pleasure of photographing a very special little newborn, with fantastic parents, who have a tremendous story.

In the words of baby Joey the Rainbow Baby and his wonderful parents:

‘Hello,
My name is Joey-James. I arrived into the world safely on the 6th of February 2022. I am my Daddy’s first born, but I have two Angel brothers too, Theo-Ashton and Tyler. My Mummy and Daddy have wanted a baby for ten whole years, and when my brother died they kept on trying with broken hearts. Years passed by and Mummy has what is known as ‘Chemical pregnancies’ nearly every month and this was very hard. In the end, Mummy wanted to explore the IVF route, and if that did not work, she was going to have a hysterectomy as it was just too much for her. So Mummy and Daddy had all their tests done and all was good to go. Mummy started to feel poorly and things just weren’t adding up, so mummy did a test and there were two lines – I was in her tummy!

Mummy waited four days to tell Daddy because she was so scared it would all go wrong again. Little did she know I was good and strong and wasn’t going anywhere. My Daddy was in shock as they were due to start IVF and Mummy showed him all the tests! She’s a crazy one you see! She was so scared all the way through, but I made sure to give her signs everyday that I was ok. She kept me warm and safe for 38 weeks and 1 day – then I arrived safely. So you see… I am very special and I want all to know never to give up hope, even when things are tough – because miracles really do happen! Mummy and Daddy want to thank a very special lady here at Tunnel Vision Studios for capturing the most beautiful photos of my mummy carrying me in her tummy with daddy looking after her and my very own photoshoot. I have to apologise for weeing everywhere and making everyone work for it because I was testing my lungs out. The results are perfect and my Mummy and Daddy love them so much, they can’t decide which ones to have on display. See you soon…

Lots of love,

JJ xxxxx’

Words cannot describe how heart-warming it is to read those words. As euphoric as pregnancy is, the journey for some just isn’t easy, but this amazing family have proved, in the most beautiful way possible, that miracles do happen! I wish them all the world of happiness, and want Joey to know he can wee and test his lungs all he likes! What a special little man!

More than a pleasure to capture these most important and unrepeatable moments, and I am so unbelievably happy for them!

Each story, journey, destination is unique and important. Do not give up hope, there is always a way to happiness x
